State-of-the-Art Healthcare Facility Installation

MACC played a critical role in installing a LINAC gantry for a cutting-edge healthcare facility in New York City. The project required precise planning, seamless coordination, and expert execution across multiple teams to safely maneuver and place equipment weighing nearly 12,000 pounds. The 100-ton crane with a 170-foot boom moved the equipment from street level through a roof hatch to its final placement on the fourth floor, navigating tight clearances of less than four inches. MACC coordinated temporary modifications, roadway closures, and pedestrian safety measures to complete the installation efficiently and without disrupting hospital operations. The project also included the installation of the facility’s largest hinged door, a unique feature that required specialized handling and careful restoration of all components following placement. This installation exemplifies the precision, planning, and teamwork that define MACC’s approach to complex healthcare infrastructure.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – Rockefeller Research Building

As the building contractor for this project, we completed the full renovation of the 13th floor of MSK’s Rockefeller Research Laboratory building, transforming 15,600 SF into state-of-the-art chemistry, biology, and proteomics laboratories supporting four Principal Investigators. The floor features a centrally located Mass Spectrometry suite with NMR, surrounded by newly built wet and dry labs. The scope also included chemical storage facilities, staff support areas, and administrative space.

To meet the specialized mechanical needs of the Mass Spec equipment, we constructed a new rooftop air-handling unit and integrated it with the building’s existing infrastructure.

This project was delivered as part of a multi-year, phased modernization of multiple floors within the Rockefeller Research Laboratory building.
